Aim
To develop a robust, self-assembling multi-snake modular robot capable of demonstrating abilities of snake robots and legged robots to traverse any terrain with optimum efficiency.

ApplicationsSurveillance: Due to high degree of freedom and ability to adapt to narrow spaces, snakes are the best explorer. Snake robots have ability to work in confined spaces.
Disaster Management: Our snakes robots will behave like rescue agents in various scenarios. Quadrapod are able to traverse on rough terrain. Hurdles can be avoided by legged locomotion of quadrapod. Photography: Multi snakes can be used for photography and video making. Big contribution in wild-life photography. Space Exploration: Our modular robots can be developed as a product which can be used for the exploration of space. |

Rectilinear Locomotion (Worm-Like):

Rolling and Rotation Gait
Rolling is provided for side traversing of the snake. Rotation provides the rotation about the center of snake.
